In many cases, tax professionals manage the day-to-day client service relationships-and as such, these professionals serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized Deloitte tax services that can help improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile. Knowledgeable in U.S. tax compliance and planning, tax professionals work closely with clients and other members of the Deloitte tax team to understand each organization's global goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect the business.
We are currently looking for Experienced Tax Consultants for our Guam tax practice. Experienced Tax Consultants are responsible for providing tax reasearch and analysis for clients in diverse industries .preparation of tax returns and for keeping up-to-date on current tax practices and technical issues. Experienced Tax Consultants should demonstrate a good understanding and working knowledge of the client's business and tax systems, take responsibility for clearing open items relating to assigned areas, and for meeting client deadlines. Experienced Consultants effectively communicate difficulties in a timely fashion and are able to identify and communicate issues that require the immediate attention of the ExperiencedTax Consultants or others on the engagement team. They also actively participate in decision making.
•At least one year of experience in providing U.S. tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and U.S. income tax returns
•Knowledge of project planning, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing, excellent technology, research and writing skills•
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
•CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process of pursuing)
•Advanced Degree preferred: MST, MAcc, JD or LLM
