The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
* Plan, manages, coordinates, implements and directs an effective security program.
* Manage and direct the training requirements associated with installation security forces.
* Provide threat assessment training.
* Direct Navy Security Force personnel in the enforcement of DOD and DON Regulations.
* Provide adequate protection against criminal activity, terrorist acts, sabotage, espionage and other unusual security threats.

**Requirements:**
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade. This requirement is called time-in-grade. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.

Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. The incumbent must provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems. The incumbent must maintain certain levels of medical, security, performance, conduct and overall fitness that make them suitable for assignment.
Work requires the selectee to drive a vehicle, and maintain a valid Guam driver's license.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Work requires call back emergencies overtime.
Positions that are supervisory/ managerial require that first time supervisors/managers complete a one-year trial/probationary period if not previously completed in a competitive or other excepted service position.
Selectee must be able to perform occasional travel to attend meetings or training.
