Program Coordinator - WestCare (Guam)
# Job Description:
Position Summary:
Person in this position will assist the team in the areas of program and policy development and is
responsible for training and supervision of all program staff.
Essential Job Functions:
• Intake and Evaluation of clients needing services;
• Responsible for coordinating all aspects of participants education;
• Responsible for training and supervision of all staff;
• Assists the Program Director with program designs, development, and implementation of the
program;
• Coordinates participants progress and need for referrals with other programs/staff;
• Provides regular reports regarding programs and participants;
• Responsible for facility compliance with health, fire, and other regulatory standards;
• Provides quality improvement reviews on all files on a monthly basis;
• Meets with staff on a weekly basis;
• Report to the Program Director at a minimum of once weekly;
• Review each employee’s job performance on a yearly basis (or more often if necessary);
• Hire and terminate employees with advice and consent from the Program Director/Vice
President and Director of Human Resources;
• Acts as a WestCare representative/liaison with other agencies;
• Respond to all emergency situations that would necessitate the Program Coordinator’s
intervention;
• Insure that all required policies and procedures of WestCare Pacific Islands, Inc. are carried out.
Essential Qualifications:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Outstanding critical thinking and creative problem solving skills;
• Exhaustive research ability;
• 5+ years’ experience in research/communication fields;
• Professional demeanor.
Education:
• Advance degree in related field.
