**Description**

We deliver an integrated approach to network engineering design and network management, as well as full IT lifecycle service management, IT service delivery, asset management, logistics and procurement support, and software/hardware vendor management\. Our network engineers, controllers, and technicians are trained in multiple disciplines to successfully maintain legacy systems as well as insert the latest technologies for voice, data, and video networks in fast\-paced, mission\-critical environments\.
As a member of the Jacobs Federal Network Systems team in Guam, you will be responsible for all of the network operations at this site\. Team member duties range from dealing with highly complex network and satellite circuit issues to general clean up of the base\. Individual requires a network engineering knowledge and direct hands on experience\. Engineer will be responsible for cradle to grave network engineering solutions to include testing, implementation, documentation and supportability \(O&M\)\. Team members plan, install and wire patch panels, mainframes and equipment for entry terminal network equipment\. Team members routinely provide customers highly complex technical support via any mode\(s\) of communications necessary\. It is extremely important that team members possess the ability to perform all associated duties with little or no supervision\. This is vitally important when performing emergency network and entry/field satellite maintenance during other than normal working hours\.
Knowledgeable and understanding of EIGRP and OSPF, route distribution principles and configuration in an enterprise environment as well as Gateway Redundancy Protocols \(HSRP, VRRP, and GLRP\)\.Familiarity of Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs\. Knowledgeable of Type 1 \(Government\) and Type 2 \(Commercial\) Encrypted Cryptographic devices\. Experience in cable and hardware installation\.
**Qualifications**
+ Must have an active TS/SCI W/ POLY security clearance
+ BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and eight \(8\) to twelve \(12\) years of progressive, relevant experience, or and MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and seven \(7\) to ten \(10\) years of progressive experience, or a Ph\.D\. degree in a computer or system science discipline and two \(2\) to five \(5\) years or progressive experience\. Similar working level obtained through relevant job experience may be accepted in lieu of degree level education\.
+ CCNA certification and Satellite Engineering experience are preferred\. Considerable knowledge of customer capabilities, service providers and network services are highly desired\. Overall knowledge of and ability to adhere to/ensure compliance of all customer Security and Safety standards is expected\. Successful candidates should possess working level experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of all field and entry satellite terminals deployed by the customer\. LAN/WAN management experience is also desired\.

+ The work environment in GUAM is robust and it is extremely important for team members to be highly versatile and knowledgeable in a great wide range of facility and network infrastructure issues\. The work environment is fast\-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures\. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers\.

+ Attendance is critical at all times\. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur
