Duties Summary The foundation for success of the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) mission is our people. Responsibilities

Operate an electronic checkout system, make change, and verify change fund and amount of currency received during an assigned shift. Manage change machines ensuring proper amounts of cash and coins are available. Assist customers by answering questions concerning prices, identification, and location of items. Count cash and negotiable instruments and to prepare an accountability report. Manage the self-check-out registers assisting customers in the correct processing of their purchases. Change register tape, and clear routine equipment and scanning jams on registers.

Qualifications To qualify for this position applicants must possess six months of general experience OR one full year of education beyond the high school level that has been completed in an accredited business, secretarial, technical school, junior college, college or university OR a qualifying combination of experience and education.

General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to perform the duties of Sales Store Checker.
