### Summary

The selectee for this position will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Office of the Operations Officer of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS.

### Responsibilities

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

* Ensure required program data such as inventory, condition ratings, facility condition indexed, preventive maintenance plans, risk assessments, mapping , and real property inventory are current, accurate, and available.

* Review output of team members to include acceptance, amendment, or rejection of work and providing routine on-the-job training as it relates to program and Command goals.

* Develop plans to collect date, scope of work and government estimates, specifications, work statements and drawings, and provide recommendations for changes in maintenance and long range planning strategies.

* Evaluate techniques to identify issues or problems.

Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. This position has been identified as a Career Field Facilities Engineering at Level II. If you possess DAWIA Certification, please indicate your Certification Level and Career Field information in your resume.

Work may consist of walking, bending, climbing, digging, carrying up to 30 pounds of equipment, and lifting/opening manhole lids, meter pits, etc.

Occasional field work may be required.

This is a Non-Critical Sensitive/ADP-II position. Access to the computer network is required to maintain information or data.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Selectee must have a valid driver's license.

Selectee will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: practical knowledge of, skill in applying technical engineering principles, methods, techniques, procedures, and practices related to the Utility Infrastructure Condition Assessment Program (UICAP) .
