**Description**
Five Rivers Services is an IT service provider supporting federal and Department of Defense customers around the world with full\-spectrum communications, IT, multimedia, security, and training capabilities\.
Job Title and Summary
Security Guard – escorts and monitors non\-cleared personnel and equipment in a secure government construction site\.
Essential Functions
Secures premises and staff by monitoring persons and facilities under their purview; inspects buildings, equipment, and access points; permits entry to job site\.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers\.
Controls traffic by directing vehicle drivers and equipment operators to job site\.
Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities\.
Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements\.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed\.
**Qualifications**
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must be a U\. S\. Citizen
Must possess a Secret security clearance
Must have a high school diploma
Must be able to lift 40 lbs
Must be able to read and clearly speak English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Prior experience in a security field highly desired
Prior military service desired
Be dependable, possess emotional control, and operate with integrity
