| SUMMARY: Flight Attendants are responsible for the safety and comfort of the passengers during all phases of normal and non-routine flight operations. As directed by the Captain, Flight Attendants will perform additional duties as necessary. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure passengers comply with all safety requirements and Federal Aviation Regulations Ensure compliance with exit row seating requirements Assist passengers with special needs (disabled passengers, unaccompanied minors and passengers traveling with infants during the flight by conducting individual safety briefings Read announcements clearly and concisely Assess situations quickly and determine the necessity of initiating an emergency evacuation Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all emergency procedures and the use of all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft Effectively handle emergency medical situations, including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for up to thirty minutes Satisfactorily demonstrated the appropriate proficiency, competency and operating experience in all In Flight duties and responsibilities; including the exit readiness emergency evacuation drill In an emergency, may be required to move an incapacitated passenger or crewmember from their seat or the aircraft to safety Report for all scheduled assignments on time Comply with all required policies and procedures Clean and replenish cabin supplies during turns and for RON’s as needed Comply with and perform security inspections and TSA procedures On international flights, distribute required forms and comply with local Customs and Immigrations policies Check company mail file (V-File) prior to originating flight & check email at least twice weekly Comply with uniform requirements Keep FAM current and accessible Provide in-flight service and amenities as directed Additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to maintain safety at all times, while providing excellent customer service to our passengers Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times Ability to interact effectively with others Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing Must have excellent organizational skills Must be phsycially capable of assisting and aiding passengers in evacuation of aircraft Must be able to do CPR for 30 minutes While performing InFlight duties, a Flight Attendant will work in confined spaces, therefore a Flight Attendants weight should be in proportion to their height. Must stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach and lift objects up to 50 pounds from the floor to above shoulder level Other jobs you may like |
