JOB SUMMARY
The position will dispense prescription medications to patients and offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. They are responsible for safe and efficient methods for coordination of established pharmacy policy concerning drug patient care and provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of the patient, nurse and physician.

Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries. Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification, labeling/packaging Provides counseling to patients regarding their medications, to support appropriate and effective drug use Consults with prescribing practitioners to help ensure accurate and appropriate medication use. Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness Complies with federal and local drug laws as regulated by the Guam Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration by monitoring unit inspections Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing with the State Complies with all Company policies, procedures, rules and standards All other duties as assigned by Pharmacy ManagerQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy program is required, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) a plus. Current, valid license from the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) Current, valid registration to practice as a pharmacist within the United States and the ability to obtain registration on Guam from the Guam Board of Examiners for Pharmacy (GBEP). Must pass Guam’s Multi-state Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE). Must have 3 to 4 years of working experience as a Retail Pharmacist within the United States or US Territories. Must clear an OIG Exclusions Search. Must be able to deliver exceptional customer service under extreme pressure without compromising Federal and Local pharmacy regulations. Must demonstrate the ability to remain personable and professional when dealing with difficult customers. Must be able to communicate professionally verbally and in writing. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
